Stay far, far away from Doteasy. They will hijack your domain name and hold it for ransom. Their policies will make it nearly impossible to transfer a domain from them while they hit your credit card and force you to renew at exorbitant prices. #doteasysucks

Everything the above poster is saying is true. They will hold you domain name for ransom if you even suggest you are leaving them. They get away with this illegal practice due to the fact no one has the deep pockets to sue them.Their protection is their agreement, which by nature is a one sided non-negotiable contract, with most people understand not to be a true contract, which states than at any time Doteasy can change the agreement to anything they want.They think it’s the old west and the fastest lawyer wins, do not use this company, they will hurt your business.

Doteasy has been holding my domain hostage since the middle of June, and even after paying their “domain release fee” my domain is still unavailable for transfer. Stay far, far away from them.
